Running your own home bookkeeping business will involve recording the financial
transactions of a business and summarising the information into a suitable form to
give to an accountant. There are a variety of bookkeeping packages on
the market, such as Sage Accounts and QuickBooks.
When we founded Bookcert, we wanted the Business Kit to be a complete business in a box, and as such we felt we needed to include a bookkeeping software package in the kit. We therefore developed Bookcert Pro, a simple and intuitive bookkeeping cash book designed to utilise Microsoft® Excel. If you can use a spreadsheet you will be able to use Bookcert Pro. Bookcert Pro is great for beginners, and because its spreadsheet based, experienced bookkeepers will be able to customize it if they wish.
Full instructions on how to use Bookcert Pro are included in the Bookcert Business Kit. Although we don’t envisage anyone experiencing any problems using Bookcert Pro due its simple operation, full support is included for the first 12 months.
Please note you are not restricted to using Bookcert Pro. The Bookcert Business Kit teaches you how to prepare books manually, and the accounting principles you learn are relevant to all bookkeeping software packages. Also included is the Bookcert Sage® Training CD which teaches you how to use Sage 50 Accounts, the UK's most popular bookkeeping software. If you want to invest in Sage, QuickBooks or another alternative, the Bookcert Mentoring Team will be happy to offer advice and support with these too.
